Viewers tuning into the Wednesday, August 19 broadcast of Fox and Friends found themselves expressing frustration and unexpectedly directing criticism toward one of the program’s veteran co-hosts.
The conservative cable outlet, typically recognized for its strong backing of Donald Trump and his agenda, broadcast on the morning program daily, featuring Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence B. Jones and they share their perspectives on major news stories.
Yet shortly after the network’s audience called a fellow on-air personality a “pompous pig,” they also focused their ire on Earhardt, with numerous viewers targeting her and labeling her “uninformed.”
The criticism of Earhardt emerged as she and her fellow hosts that day, Charlie Hurt and Griff Jenkins, analyzed two political developments.
The first centered on Tuesday, August 18, primary election outcomes in Florida, notably Democratic Socialist Angie Nixon’s unexpected win over establishment-favored candidate Alex Vindman in a House race, reports the Mirror US.

Throughout the discussion, Earhardt gestured emphatically as she voiced her concerns about Nixon and Democratic Socialist platforms, expressing bewilderment at such a candidate’s success in Florida, which has become Trump’s adopted home state.
“They’re extreme, very extreme policies that these socialists…but it seems to be resonating,” she stated. “I’m surprised, this is Florida!”
However, at another point during the broadcast, she seemed to commend Democratic Socialist candidates as the discussion shifted to a report on the Democratic Party entering its “Thirst Trap” era for candidates.
“My Gosh, they’re all hot, aren’t they?” she joked. “So, I think Republicans, actually, this is a good strategy. Republicans need to start focusing, get some new, younger faces, and get some people that that…but what they’re doing is, they are all good looking!”

She went on to offer favorable remarks about prominent figures in the movement, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Zohran Mamdani, and Abdul El-Sayed.
“I mean, AOC, she’s attractive. She’s smart. She’s vibrant. She smiles. He’s known for his smile, Mamdani. He’s young. Might not agree with him, I don’t think anyone here does, but he seems likable when he goes out,” she said.
“Then you have this guy El-Sayed in Michigan, and he’s a good-looking guy, he’s buff. He works out. He wears tight t-shirts. He’s handsome. He was a Rhodes Scholar. You know, he’s well spoken,” she added.
Her comments sparked backlash from several viewers who criticized her for sending mixed messages.

“Dems vote crazy in every state. Goes for Florida too. Fox hosts need to stop acting dumb on purpose. Charlie is fine,” one viewer complained, while another declared, “Ainsley Earhardt is a buffoon!
“I’m sorry but this Ainsley has no business being on television,” another wrote. “Every time I listen to her blabbing on any type of news I feel a little dumber. She has to be the most uninformed co-host on television. Her lack of basic knowledge is remarkable. How did she get that job?”.
Others criticized her for praising the Democratic Socialist candidates based on their appearance and suggesting Republicans should adopt a similar political strategy.
“@FoxNews Aisnley Earhardt just described the socialist candidates, good looking, masculine, well spoken, yada yada yada. What in the utter hell?” one person fumed. “Let’s make that a requirement. You’re losing your audience. @CharlesHurt thank you for always being the common sense! And truthful!”.
