A Bachelor fan favorite with chronic health issues shared a scary experience that landed them in the ER. They shared an update on the cause of the unexpected illness. Keep reading for all the details on the visit to the emergency room.
Bachelor Fan Favorite Rushed To ER
Ali Fedotowsky-Manno was a frontrunner during Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor. However, she chose her career over love and left the show after getting an ultimatum from her employer. The fan favorite went on to get engaged to Roberto Martinez.

They broke up after a year. She later found love with Kevin Manno. They married in 2017 and have two children together. The couple revealed earlier this year that they were moving their family back to California after leaving Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout her time in Tennessee, Ali Fedotowsky-Manno struggled with major allergies. Her health was one of the reasons why they moved.

The Bachelor star took to Instagram to share a recent scary trip to the ER. She shared a photo from a hospital bed and revealed she suddenly got “violently ill.” She detailed what happened. “I went from totally fine to having severe lower abdominal cramping every 20 minutes,” she wrote. After the cramps went on for several hours, a doctor friend told her to go to the ER.

Ali Fedotowsky-Manno compared the pain to that of childbirth. “Brought me to my knees in tears.” She shared that she was given morphine and a CAT scan. “I have colitis which is inflammation of the intestines. They’re gonna put me on an antibiotic and pain med to take home as well as a liquid diet til tomorrow,” she wrote.
The Bachelor star added that Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s run in her family, but she hopes this was a one-time thing.
She Updates Fans On Suspected Cause Of Illness
Ali Fedotowsky-Manno shared details of her ER visit on Instagram Story. Apparently, she received a lot of DMs from her followers about the diagnosis. She returned to social media to respond to the messages. A lot of fans disagreed with her hope that it was a one-time only thing, but Ali cleared up the confusion.

She explained that Ulcerative colitis and colitis aren’t the same thing. Colitis, which is what the doctor diagnosed her with, can be a one-time thing. She wondered whether it was caused by eating poorly around the holidays. Then Ali remembered that she had stopped taking probiotics a few weeks before the sudden attack. She vowed to start taking the medicine again to see if that could have been the cause.
After her ER visit and a liquid diet, the Bachelor fan favorite is on the mend. Tell us in the comments if you’ve experienced colitis like she did.
