Trinity K. Bonet was a contestant on Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2014. She didn’t win the competition, but won over fans. The drag queen returned for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 6 in 2021. Trinity K. Bonet was born in Florida but later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where their drag queen career flourished. Among her career highlights was portraying Cardi B. in the music video for Taylor Swift’s song “You Need To Calm Down.”

While on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Trinity K. Bonet spoke out about her HIV positive diagnosis. She was diagnosed in 2012 and has been a strong advocate for raising awareness about the disease. The drag queen revealed on social media this week that she was rushed to the hospital.

Trinity K. Bonet posted a photo on Instagram from her hospital bed. “I’d like to begin by acknowledging that we are not invincible, and our bodies require regular maintenance to function optimally. Just as any machine needs periodic tune-ups, it’s essential to address warning signs before they escalate,” she wrote in the caption.

She continued, “Over the past few years, I’ve pushed myself to extremes, striving to maintain a certain image and deliver exceptional performances. Unfortunately, this has led to neglect of my physical health, and I’m now facing the consequences.”

Trinity K. Bonet Shares More About Diagnosis

The U.S. Sun cited sources close to the Drag Race alum that said her Trinity K. Bonet’s hospitalization was due to exhaustion and pushing herself too far. She said as much in her caption, but she went to the hospital for a different reason.

“Initially, I was admitted for treatment of an abscess, but I gained valuable insights into my overall health,” she wrote.

She added, “This experience has taught me that sometimes, we need to slow down to rebuild and become a better version of ourselves.”

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star received a lot of support and well-wishes for a speedy recovery in the comments.
