In yet another one of his interviews that was supposed to be friendly but turned into a disaster given his own, mainly age-related shortcomings, former President Joe Biden had a major malfunction and mumbling trainwreck on ABC’s “The View” when he went on it on Thursday, May 8.

That came as President Biden tried highlighting his supposedly quite magnificent legacy, particularly regarding infrastructure and education, but ended up just tripping over his words repeatedly while mumbling near-incoherently, the same problem for which he was known on the campaign trail and during his presidency generally.

Kicking off his attempt to highlight his supposedly quite great legacy, former President Biden started mumbling about the “benefits” of his projects, malfunctioning as he tried to get the words out. He said, “They’re all the the the… projects, the benefits. How do you lead the world without having the best infrastructure? How do you lead the world without having the best healthcare in the world?”

Continuing, he started rambling about education, also haltingly stumbling over his words, saying, “How do you lead the world without having the best education system in the world? How do you lead the world without having the best education system in the world? How do you lead the world when you don’t have that done?”

Commenters online roasted Biden for the disastrous appearance, with conservative content creator Blayne C. posting the clip of Biden having his malfunction, saying, “Biden’s appearance on the View is going about as well as you’d expect.” Commenters largely agreed, with one, for example, writing, “I hope he keeps making appearances. Frequent lengthy interviews right through the mid terms.”

Other commenters on Blayne’s post left much the same message, saying things like “And they are all so dumb that they genuinely thought this was a great idea when they were thinking it up” and “Good god someone needs to take the man back to the memory care facility asap.” Watch the Biden malfunction here:

That wasn’t the only time Biden embarrassed himself on the program. Another time he did so, during the same appearance, came when co-host Sunny Hostin asked him, “Well, Mr. President, some have even argued that leaving the race and endorsing your vice president, Vice President Harris, a hundred, over a hundred days before the election hampered her campaign. What do you say to those critics?”

Beginning, former President Biden responded by getting his details completely wrong from the start, doubling the amount of time he gave VP Harris to build her campaign after he dropped out of the presidential race. Doing so, he told Hostin, “I say, number one, that there were still six full months.”

He then started rambling about his administration supposedly being quite the success, the same incorrect thing he was mumbling about in the malfunction moment, saying, “She [Harris] was in every aspect, every decision I made, every decision we made. And I don’t think, I hope I didn’t sound the wrong way. I don’t think anybody thought we’d be successful as we were.”

Further, he claimed that his various spending bills, such as the CHIPS Act were major successes, saying, “I don’t think anybody thought we’d pass the Recovery Act. I don’t think anyone thought we’d have. We deal with chips and science. I don’t think anybody thinks we’d have all we got done in a close race.”

Then, ignoring the inflation disaster he was known for, Biden started rambling about economics, saying, “Think about it. We got more major legislation passed to fundamentally change the direction of the country than any president has in a long, long time. And so we’re in a situation where we came to office, and we agreed on two things. One, I was sick and tired of trickle-down economics. And my dad used to say, not a whole lot trickle down in his kitchen table.”

He further added, concluding that part, that he was great for the middle class, ignoring that his Bidenflation was a disaster for the middle class. He said, “And so we built the economy from the middle out and the bottom up. The strongest economy in the world, where we left. That’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact.”
