It’s been more than five years since Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, were killed in a horrible helicopter crash in Southern California.

The crash, which took place in January 2020, rocked the sports world. Bryant was recently retired, but figured to be an important part of the basketball community moving forward. The daughter of the longtime NBA star was an up-and-coming basketball product, as well.

Since the tragic death, Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, has mostly stayed out of the public eye. She hasn’t made too many public appearances or done much on social media.

However, heading into 2026, Vanessa Bryant is pledging for that to change.

The widow of the longtime NBA star is promising to be more of a public figure in 2026. Bryant said that her New Year’s resolution is to be more public and do more posting on social media.

The wife of the late Kobe Bryant made her New Year’s resolution on social media on Sunday afternoon.

“My girlfriends are always encouraging me to be in more pics- making an effort to do that this year. 2026,” she announced.

The wife of the late NBA star has stayed active in the community, working with Nike, the Lakers and other prominent brands.

It sounds like we’ll see much more of her in 2026.
