Concerning New Footage Leaks Of Injured Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love — Puts Week 1 Status In Serious Jeopardy [VIDEO]
Jeremiyah Love has sounded the alarms.
A concerning video of Jeremiyah Love hit X on Wednesday. Cardinals beat writer Theo Mackie posted the clip from Tempe. Love worked ankle agility drills with trainers before practice.
He has not returned to team drills. The No. 3 overall pick still deals with a high-ankle sprain. He suffered it in the preseason opener against the Raiders on Aug. 13.

Love ran 11 times for 58 yards that night. He also caught three passes for 14 yards. The injury came late in the first half. Coach Mike LaFleur first said Love could have returned. Two days later, the timeline grew.
Jeremiyah Love Still Sidestepping Full Practice
Arizona Cardinals Jeremiyah Love (4) runs with the ball during training camp at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Aug. 11, 2026.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported a high-ankle sprain. The Cardinals hope he is ready for the Sept. 13 opener at the Chargers. High-ankle sprains often take two to four weeks. Love will miss the rest of the preseason.
LaFleur said Monday that Love is “progressing well and kind of in the next phase.” He also said Love will not practice this week. The rookie watched the Cowboys preseason game from the sideline.
Tyler Allgeier has taken first-team reps. James Conner and Trey Benson are also working back from injuries. Arizona’s backfield is thin until Love is fully cleared.

Love left Notre Dame as a Heisman finalist and Doak Walker winner. He rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. The Cardinals gave him a fully guaranteed rookie deal after taking him third overall.
That investment makes every rehab clip matter. Light agility work is progress. It is not the same as taking hits in practice. Running backs put heavy stress on the ankle on every cut.
Love seems to be one of the few bright spots the Cardinals will have in 2026. Staying healthy should be the team’s top priority two weeks before the season opener.
Love remains the planned lead back. Allgeier will carry the load if the ankle is not ready. The concerning video does not close the door on Week 1. It does show he is not there yet.
