The Super Bowl halftime show performer who displayed Palestinian and Sudanese flags during Kendrick Lamar’s performance in February has been arrested.

Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu – who, as it happens, is embroiled in controversy involving Antonio Brown and is the alleged victim in the former NFL wide receiver’s attempted murder charge – turned himself in to police this week.

Louisiana State Police revealed as much, disclosing that he was taken in on charges of disturbing the peace by interruption of a lawful assembly and resisting arrest, per TMZ Sports.

The authorities say that Natambu was the one who waved the flag bearing the message “Sudan and Free Gaza” while Lamar was performing “TV Off.”

Natambu was detained on the field after his stunt but was not arrested. The NFL later announced that he would be banned for life from league stadiums and future events.

Police note that Natambu had been hired as an extra and “had permission to be on the field during the performance, but did not have permission to demonstrate as he did.”

The league released a statement via TMZ Sports lauding the Louisiana State Police.

“We commend the Louisiana State Police for its diligence and professionalism in this matter,” they wrote. “We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

The NFL added that, in addition to the ongoing criminal case, Natambu has been banned from attending any NFL games or events.

“In addition to the ongoing criminal case,” the league also said in their statement, “the NFL banned the individual from attending any NFL games or events.”

As mentioned above, the rapper and entertainer is the same man AB is accused of trying to kill, following disturbing videos of a violent altercation after Adin Ross’ boxing event in Miami, Florida, last month.

Brown has yet to turn himself in.
