Genie Bouchard’s give a glimpse to her post-tennis life.

Genie Bouchard may be done with pro tennis, but she is still getting plenty of love. The former Wimbledon finalist shared vacation photos this week from the British Virgin Islands, just months after retiring at age 31.

Bouchard posted several pictures showing her enjoying the Caribbean on Instagram. She relaxed by the pool, went snorkeling in the ocean, and dressed up for evenings out. She captioned the post, “no schedule these days,” giving fans a glimpse of her relaxed life after tennis.

The timing made sense. Bouchard officially retired in July at the National Bank Open in Montreal. She ended her tennis career at home in front of Canadian fans. Since then, she has moved into professional pickleball, which gives her a much more flexible schedule.

Bouchard reflected on her journey when she announced her retirement earlier this year. “Tennis has given me so much,” she said at the time. I am filled with so much gratitude for this sport and the people that helped me along the way.”

She reached No. 5 in the WTA rankings and enjoyed her best season in 2014. That year, she reached the Wimbledon final and lost to Petra Kvitova. Bouchard also made the semifinals at the Australian Open and French Open. She won her only WTA singles title that season.

Her career changed in 2015 after a fall in a locker room at the U.S. Open. The slip caused a concussion and forced her to withdraw from the tournament. She later sued the U.S. Tennis Association. A jury ruled that the organization was held 75 percent at fault.

Despite setbacks, Bouchard stayed involved with the sport. She helped Canada win its first Billie Jean King Cup title in 2023. Tournament director Valerie Tetreault praised her impact. “She has been one of the most important figures in the history of our sport in Canada,” Tetreault said.

Now, Bouchard seems at ease with life after tennis. She often posts her vacation photos, but still trains and stays active.
