Miami had no chance…
The Miami Hurricanes were done for, once Fernando Mendoza set his eyes on their end zone on Monday night.
Mendoza scrambled for one of the most impressive touchdowns of his career, it it took just about everything he had left. The Indiana Hoosiers quarterback bounced off defenders before diving in for the score, stretching the football over the line.
The touchdown proved key, as Indiana would go on to win the national title after a hard-fought fourth quarter. The game ended 27-21 in their favor.
“I was a two-star recruit coming out of high school. I got declined to walk-on at the University of Miami,” Mendoza said after the win. “Full-circle moment playing here in Miami in front of friends and family.”
As for his late heroics, he claimed he would do anything for his team in the raunchiest way he could possibly say it.

The Hurricanes should have stopped the QB long before he got to the end zone. They had the personnel right in his face.
But it’s since been revealed that Indiana had sprinkled holy water over that very area before the game.
“Indiana’s end zone was sprinkled with holy water before the national title game,” Front Office Sports noted. “It was the same end zone that Fernando Mendoza scored to secure the Hoosiers a championship.”

Mendoza is a devout Catholic, so he would have appreciated this.
While the Hoosiers had the Vatican behind them, Miami had Abella Danger.

She was even shown during the ESPN broadcast, right before Carson Beck completed a touchdown pass.
Of course, she was no match.
