After sharing some pre-recorded messages with Alyssa, 36, and the father-to-be, The View co-host Sunny Hostin checked in with the proud parents.
Fighting back tears, Alyssa said: “I’m so grateful, honestly. They say it takes a village and just knowing I have such a wonderful village at this table, this amazing husband, and my family, and friends, I mean – that means so much to me.”
The View cast, including Sunny, Alyssa, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sara Haines, raised glasses of non-alcoholic drinks to cheers.
The Sister Act star led the toast, saying, “Here’s to health, happiness, and lots of love. A little bit of sleep, and lots of laughs.”
Joy jumped in with, “And more babies!”
Alyssa has been very open with The View fans about her pregnancy journey, including the challenges she’s faced.
In December, after an unexpected 3-day absence that left viewers concerned for her, she shared a health update.
She shared the news in a social media post, writing: “Hey guys! I’ve been down sick with a stomach virus, but will hopefully be back on @theviewabc tomorrow.
“It’s not fun being sick while 6½+ months pregnant!”
Alyssa added: “Remember it’s that time of year – be smart, use hand sanitizer, stay home if you’re sick!
She announced that she and Justin were expecting their first child together in October 2025 on The View.
The couple are expecting a baby boy in February of this year.
Alyssa opened up on the show about what it took for her and Justin to get pregnant, revealing that they’d turned to IVF after failing to conceive naturally.
She also revealed her endometriosis diagnosis.
Speaking with PEOPLE, she said: “I went undiagnosed my whole life until I started this process.
“So that just added to the complications.”
She got pregnant after five rounds of IVF.
“Both Justin and I just feel so grateful that we were in the position that we were even able to do that many rounds of IVF,” she said.
“I consider it a miracle of science, and just such a wonderful thing that we’ve gotten to where we are now.
“So yeah, there [were] definitely some tears.”
