TV viewers know Simon Cowell as the ‘mean’ judge on American Idol. But he showed a new side of himself on a Netflix docuseries about his next career move. In a huge change, he opened up about his mental health disorder. Keep reading for all the details.
Simon Cowell Reveals Strict Diet After Weight Loss
Simon Cowell’s appearance is a big topic of conversation. Fans wonder if he had a facelift and why he looks so different. Weeks after claiming he ages backwards, the America’s Got Talent judge shared his health routine in a wide-ranging interview with The U.S. Sun.

Simon Cowell shut down rumors of a facelift. He did admit to “thousands” of rounds of Botox over the years. The TV personality also copped to trying fillers. “I used to have filler but then one day I saw a picture of myself and thought, “Oh God, I look like a real weirdo,” he said.
But the most drastic change in Simon Cowell’s appearance is the weight he’s lost over the last few years. He spilled all on his strict diet, which he credits to staying in shape at 66. “I cut out sugar, dairy, red meat, gluten . . . I had the diet of a schoolboy, and was told by a dietician it was the worst diet he’d ever seen,” Simon Cowell said.

He added, “I basically eat the same things every day. Breakfast is a green, protein smoothie with some fruits, a lot of blueberries, porridge and tea, and lunch is half a hot cross bun.”
The reality TV judge eats at 4:30 P.M. He denied trying weight loss drugs.
American Idol Alum Opens Up About Mental Health Disorder
Simon Cowell is very particular about what he wears. He often sports black or dark t-shirts and jeans. There’s a reason for that and it’s not what you think. The U.S. Sun asked him in a Q&A if he has more than one pair of underwear.
“Yeah, of course. I’ve got them all lined up in a drawer, in their little white boxes. I think I have OCD,” Simon Cowell replied, hinting at an undiagnosed mental disorder.
He further confessed, “I have 200 identical charcoal grey Derek Rose T-shirts. I do get a pretty good deal on them actually, yes. I don’t have to think about anything then.”
Years after playing a vital role in the success of One Direction, Simon Cowell dreams of creating another boy band. The Netflix docuseries Simon Cowell: The Next Act hopes to do just that. The cameras follow along as Simon Cowell turns his Miami, Florida, home into a boot camp for 16 aspiring musicians.
The show premiered on December 10 with all six episodes dropping at once. Tell us your thoughts on the docuseries in the comments.
