Suns reportedly discussing trade options with Kevin Durant's business partner | Phoenix Suns | The Guardian

Kevin Durant is once again at the center of trade talks. The future Hall of Famer has one year remaining on his contract with the Phoenix Suns.

Durant’s business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, has met with the Suns multiple times over the past week to discuss trade scenarios. They’re expected to work on a deal this offseason.

Any team interested in acquiring Durant has to be comfortable with his $54.7 million cap hit for the 2025-26 season. That doesn’t seem to be an issue though.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in Durant. There are also a few “wild-card suitors” that have made inquiries.

Though it’s too early to tell which team will win the sweepstakes for Durant, it sounds like we can cross one suitor off the list.

Stefan Bondy of the New York Post is reporting that the Knicks aren’t in the mix for Durant.

NBA fans have been anticipating a Durant trade since the start of this year. Some people legitimately thought he’d get moved before the trade deadline in February. It’s now a certainty that he’ll be moved in the coming months.

Durant is coming off a season where he averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Though he’ll turn 37 in September, it’s pretty evident that he can still produce at an elite level.

That being said, the Knicks aren’t apparently interested in adding Durant to their starting lineup.
