Nell Angloma has quietly become one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2026 WNBA Draft, combining elite scoring, two-way versatility, and international success at just 19.

Going into the 2026 WNBA Draft, no team would go wrong with Nell Angloma. Apparently, when it comes to drafting a new prospect, teams look for the hype, stature, and stuff in addition to the on-paper stats. And needless to say, Angloma checks all the boxes.

As the 2026 WNBA Draft picture begins to take shape, Angloma has emerged as one of Europe’s most intriguing young wings. She’s been steadily building a resume that teams are paying closer attention to.

But who exactly is Nell Angloma?

Born on June 21, 2006, Angloma is a 19-year-old shooting guard who currently plays for Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomération (BLMA) in France’s top league.

However, while many of the hoops nerds are yet to discover her, the 6-foot-tall star’s international portfolio is already extensive. Angloma was also a part of the team that won gold at the U16 European Championships in 2022 and the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket.

If all these stats are still to impress the scouts, there’s more. Her breakout moment came at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket, where she averaged 13.8 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in under 20 minutes per game.

Angloma was also the MVP and earned a spot on the All-Star Five. Apart from that, she most recently followed up with a strong showing at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup.

Based on her trajectory and production, Angloma is currently projected by some outlets as a late first-round pick, with projections placing her around 12th overall if she declares for the 2026 WNBA Draft. And after the WNBA CBA proposal, her rookie salary would feature dream numbers.

With all that said and done, the 2026 WNBA Draft class is deep, especially with international talent, which has caused some prospects to fly under the radar.

While names like Awa Fam and Iyana Martín often dominate conversations, Angloma has quietly put together one of the strongest professional seasons among European wings.

This season with BLMA, Angloma is her team’s leading scorer and recently delivered her most impressive performance yet while scoring 31 points on 9-of-11 shooting. The impressive showing included two three-pointers, while going 7-for-7 from the free-throw line in a win over Angers.

She also added four rebounds and three assists. Ten games into the season, she now leads the French league with 157 total points, placing her firmly in early league MVP conversations.

Beyond scoring, Angloma’s defensive impact stands out. Over ten French league games, she recorded 12 steals and five blocks, and added nine steals and one block across six EuroCup appearances. Her ability to defend multiple positions adds value to her profile.

Scouts view Angloma as a versatile two-way wing who thrives in transition, attacks off the dribble, draws fouls, and spaces the floor. ESPN has mocked her to the Connecticut Sun at No. 15, while CBS Sports projected her to the Seattle Storm at No. 14. Both destinations would offer development opportunities and fit her long-term growth.
