Put a little alcohol in him, and Andy Cohen does not hold back. He went full scorched earth on the mayor of New York City. As the ball dropped on the new year, the Bravo host bid a rude goodbye to outgoing Mayor Eric Adams.

“I’d like to say, watching the final moments of Mayor Adams’ chaotic, horrible…I just want to say, I mean he’s got his pardons, he’s pardoned. Great, you got your pardons, go off in the sunset. We’ll, we’ll fiddle with what we have, with what you left us with,” Andy Cohen began his rant.

The Bravo host was joined by Anderson Cooper and actor BJ Novak during his diatribe. BJ Cooper tried to cool things down by joking, “He can’t help himself.” But Andy Cohen would not be stopped. 

“I will say this, I think he may have dented the rat population. I think he got rid of some of the rats, but isn’t that a metaphor of sorts?”

He added, “Let’s call it as it is, honestly. It is 2026 and there are less rats.” Andy Cohen told former mayor Eric Adams to “go off into the sunset.”

He Previously Went Off On Bill de Blasio

Andy Cohen is notorious for his drunken behavior on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special. The network briefly banned the co-hosts from consuming alcohol during the live celebration in Times Square. The Bravo host lives in New York City, and this wasn’t his first rant against an outgoing mayor.

 

During CNN’s 2021 New Year’s Eve broadcast, Andy Cohen went off on Bill de Blasio, who ironically was replaced by Eric Adams. In a moment that went viral, Andy Cohen called Bill de Blasio a “horrible” mayor and told him, “Sayonara, sucka!”
