Before stepping onto the “American Idol” stage, Breanna Nix delivered a stunning rendition of Whitney Houston’s classic “I Will Always Love You” — this time with her husband on piano. The performance was quiet at first, almost fragile, but then soared into powerful high notes that had listeners in awe.

Her vocal control and range were so impressive, some compared her to the greatest singers in music history. The way she moved from soft emotion to full-blown powerhouse vocals was not just technically strong — it was full of feeling. Her upper register, in particular, felt like a perfect blend of iconic divas, leaving many to say the cover “defies logic.”

This performance came just before her rise on “American Idol,” where Nix has continued to wow both judges and fans.
During a recent solo performance, judge Luke Bryan praised her confidence, saying, “I’m loving the way you just came out on stage, put your foot down, and killed it.”
Nix performed alongside fellow contestant Rylie O’Neill in a touching duet of Brandon Lake’s worship anthem “Gratitude.” The two sang with raw, heartfelt emotion that moved both the crowd and those backstage.

Before their duet, Jelly Roll — the show’s first-ever Artist in Residence — shared his thoughts about the pair. “By the spirit in you alone, I know that y’all connect in an emotional way that most people don’t,” he said, just moments before they took the stage.
Jelly Roll even FaceTimed Brandon Lake to share the experience live. Lake was deeply moved, calling it “the most gorgeous version of ‘Gratitude’ I have ever heard.”
Breanna Nix’s journey is just one example of the many faith-filled artists who have graced the “American Idol” stage over the years. From Carrie Underwood and Colton Dixon to Lauren Daigle, the show continues to shine a light on Christian musicians using their voices to inspire others.

“30 MILLION PEOPLE ONCE LOST THEIR MINDS OVER… A CURTAIN.” Believe it or not, one of the funniest moments in TV history came from a simple green curtain. Back in 1976, the Carol Burnett Show delivered a scene so ridiculous that the entire country practically stopped breathing from laughter. Carol walked down a grand staircase wearing a “gown” made from green velvet drapes—curtain rod still hanging across her shoulders like she’d ripped it straight off the wall. The audience exploded the second they saw her. She didn’t even make it halfway down the steps before people were doubled over, crying with laughter. Costume legend Bob Mackie came up with the idea as a quick joke, but when Carol caught sight of herself in that over-the-top outfit, she literally collapsed laughing. And nearly 50 years later, it’s still just as hilarious as the day it aired.
Long before memes and viral videos dominated pop culture, The Carol Burnett Show delivered one of the most unforgettable comedic…
