Cameron Brink’s Fans Are Fearing The Worst — Career In Serious Jeopardy

Cameron Brink’s luck is not favouring her at all, and now WNBA fans are holding their breath.
The Los Angeles Sparks forward had to leave the game against the New York Liberty after taking a hard hit to the ribs from Breanna Stewart. The blow was severe, sending Brink to the floor in obvious pain during the Sparks’ 85-81 loss.
Her teammates helped her up and off the court, with Brink draping a towel over her head as she headed back to the locker room to get checked out.
The scare has everyone worried, especially given her injury history. The 2024 No. 2 overall pick already lost most of her rookie season to a torn ACL. After returning in 2025, she has suited up for 15 games this season, averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds.
Fans Worry As Brink Faces Another Setback

Many fans reacted on social media after watching Brink leave the game.
“It’s over, she can’t ever stay healthy. Female Greg Oden,” one fan wrote.
“Too many injuries for a player only in their 3rd year,” another fan posted.
“She’s done. Never added any muscle to offset the first injury,” a third fan said.
The Sparks did not provide a detailed update after the game. Head coach Lynne Roberts said the team’s medical staff immediately evaluated Brink.
“Cam’s getting evaluated right now. She took a brutal hit to the ribs,” Roberts said. “The docs are looking at her right now. That’s all I know right now.”
The timing adds another challenge for a Sparks team that has struggled throughout the season Los Angeles will miss the WNBA playoffs this year. . Los Angeles has lost three straight games and 10 of its last 12. The team returns to action Saturday against the Washington Mystics, though Brink’s status remains unclear.
The injury also raises bigger questions about Brink’s future role with the franchise. Los Angeles recently traded Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury and signaled a focus on the future. Brink remains a key part of those plans, but injuries have limited her availability.
Through three seasons, Brink has appeared in just 59 of a possible 117 games, that’s just over 50%. This has once again left fans wondering when she will finally catch a break
