Former Pittsburgh Steelers standout wide receiver Chase Claypool has broken silence on his mysterious one-year absence from the NFL.

The 26-year-old Chase Claypool once looked poised for NFL stardom. In each of his first two seasons with the Steelers, Claypool exceeded the 50-catch and 800-yard marks, helping Pittsburgh to playoff appearances in both years.

But Claypool’s career began going downhill after he was sent to the Chicago Bears in a 2022 midseason blockbuster trade. He appeared in just 10 games with his new team over the next two seasons before the Bears finally gave up and sent him to the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2023 trade deadline.

Chase Claypool signed with the Bills last year, but suffered a toe injury and was released a month before the season started. Claypool wasn’t picked up by another team, and he remains a free agent with training camp approaching.

In an Instagram post, Claypool revealed that he’s been recovering from a torn ligament in his toe over the past year, though he’s confident that he’ll soon be back on the field:

In the three games he suited up for in 2023, Chase Claypool caught eight passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. But he turns just 27 on Monday, so there is time for Claypool to get back to 100 percent and revive his NFL career.

In Claypool’s defense, he’s never spent an entire season with an elite NFL quarterback. He put up good numbers with the Steelers in 2020 and 2021, but that was with Ben Roethlisberger well past his prime years.

Add Claypool to an offense with a Pro Bowl-caliber QB and he just might regain that star-like form we saw early in his career.

“I had surgery two years back on my shin. I have a rod in my leg… I cover the scar on one, and then the two players that I admire, Te’a Cooper and A’ja Wilson, also wear it, too. So it is swag. But I have used it to cover my scar,” said Angel Reese. She revealed that she had surgery on her leg and had a scar on it. She wears the leggings to hide that scar and at the same time as a swag fashion accessory.

After the Tigers failed to stand up against Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes the fans were left wondering if the LSU star Angel Reese would declare for the upcoming NBA draft. Reese has answered those questions with a beautiful photoshoot in collaboration with Vogue. Reese did a photo shoot with the brand and announced that she would be declaring for the WNBA draft.

Reese expressed her thoughts about the decision on her official X (formerly Twitter) account. “Making my announcement with VOGUE was ICONIC. In the new world that I am stepping into, just believe in me, trust in me, and give me time to learn and grow!” said Reese in the post. She thanked her supporters for their support and love and also asked them to trust her in her new journey.
