Hailey Van Lith rings a new season in style.

The time has come for the WNBA regular season and a change of scenery for Hailey Van Lith.

Just two days after being waived by the Chicago Sky, Van Lith moved to another franchise. The Connecticut Sun were awarded Van Lith after putting in a waiver claim. The 5-foot-9 guard joins Connecticut after spending her rookie season with the Chicago Sky.

In Chicago, Van Lith never found her footing or the balance between scoring and facilitating.

On Friday, the WNBA finally opened its 2026 season. The Connecticut Sun were in action, which meant fans got to see Hailey Van Lith in her new threads. Before she hit the court, she had to show up at the stadium.

Outside Madison Square Garden, Van Lith was seen rocking a blue Adidas Originals tracksuit set, a light blue corset, and a patterned handbag.

“City drip with HVL💧,” the Sun wrote on X.

Star guard Hailey Van Lith is continuing her WNBA career in Connecticut after being let go by the Chicago Sky. The Connecticut Sun announced on Wednesday that they signed Van Lith on a waiver claim.

Chicago drafted the 5-foot-9 guard with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 first round. She struggled in her rookie campaign, shooting 33.9% from the field. An ankle injury also limited her to 29 games. Overall, she averaged 3.5 points and 1.6 assists per game last season.

Don’t let the numbers fool you. Van Lith has shown that she can get buckets.

During the Sky’s preseason slate this year, Van Lith averaged 12.5 points on 71.4% shooting and had 4.5 assists across two games. In her one season at TCU, she averaged 17.9 PTS and 5.4 AST and was named both Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

In the right situation, she can be a dangerous player.
