The throwing of a dildo has been going viral this month. The bizarre trend of throwing sex toys onto the court during WNBA games resurfaced on August 20 during a matchup between the Atlanta Dream and the Los Angeles Sparks.
The incident disrupted play but prompted immediate action by both players and security. Initially, the game was proceeding smoothly in the third quarter at Crypto.com Arena, with the Dream leading en route to an eventual 124-88 victory.
Just as Sparks guard Jihyun Park stepped up to the free-throw line with 2:59 remaining in the quarter, a bright green dildo flew out of the stands. Immediately, the referee blew her whistle to halt play. Angel Reese witnessed the incident and pointed out the culprit.
