Chicago, Illinois, resident Jordan Heller was a contestant on Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette. He came in fourth place on the show. He briefly sparked rumors of a romance with Golden Bachelor runner-up Leslie Fhima, but the two remained only friends.

He was a guest on the In My Hometown podcast hosted by Jamie Stein and Pascal Ibgui to share huge news. He revealed that he’s dating someone 22 years his junior. Jordan Heller, 62, is dating Emily, 39. They met when she took a photo with him to share with her parents, who watched him on The Golden Bachelorette. The two sparked up a romance.

While it might turn heads, Emily said that the age gap doesn’t bother her because life is short and he’s a good guy.

Fans Divided On Age-Gap Romance

Age-gap romances are increasingly common. Fans took to the comments to react to the new romance. One fan wrote. “Emily and Jordan are a sweet couple calm, and sweet together, age gap they will see later as long as they love each other, a very fun couple”

However, another comment was critical of the age difference. “I am sick and tired of men dating/marrying women so much younger than them. Especially when they are now ‘publicly’ known. Look at Gerry Turner, too,” the Bachelor Nation fan wrote.

Several social media users shared their own age-gap romances. “My ex husband was 15 years older than me but he was not adventurous and ultimately it didn’t work. ( for a lot of reasons) I’m 65 now and my partner is 67 and we are a great match. I couldn’t see myself with a man in his 80’s at this point,” one person wrote.

Another shared, “My husband and I are 27 years apart and it is true, as the aging is happening for both of us, there is alot to think about…but I can’t imagine my life without him as a person regardless of age. We are aware there may be challenges, but we will face them as they come. Been a couple since 2012, married in 2017. No kids for either of us.”

Pascal Ibgui was also on Joan Vassos’ season. He made it to the final three but quit before the season finale because he wasn’t feeling a strong connection. He turned down Bachelor In Paradise because he didn’t want to date women his own age.

In a surprising change of tune, he extended an invitation for one of Mel Owens’ rejected contestants to be a guest on his podcast and see what happens. Debbie Siebers was in the final three on the second Golden Bachelor season. She was asked after her elimination who she would date from the franchise. She said Pascal.

During the podcast episode with Jordan Heller, Pascal revealed he met Debbie at the After The Final Rose taping. He said he liked her and invited her to be a guest on the podcast to see what would happen.
