FANS of The Traitors have been sent into a frenzy after noticing that one of their favorite characters has been axed.

As season four’s episodes have began to air, eagle-eyed viewers have noticed a recurring pattern: that a certain someone is missing from the castle.

So far three episodes of the new season have graced TV’s and streaming platforms across the country, but he isn’t anywhere in sight.

The man in question? Fergus the groundskeeper, played by actor John Ritchie.

Fergus never did much on the show but he rapidly became a beloved member of the cast for his immaculate comedic timing.

Whether he was merely popping in the room to flip a sign or gesture around saying nothing at all, fans loved how he contrasted against the show’s host Alan Cumming and provided comedic relief.

But the bearded guy appears to have been banished with no explanation.

Taking to X, viewers of the show have been expressing hope for his return, saying how they “need” more of him on their screens.

“Fergus is so underrated in the show The Traitors,” said one user with a GIF of Fergus eating a snack attached.

“As an OG traitors fan, I need MORE FERGUS,” demanded another.

Fans felt the same way on Reddit, starting a thread all of its own titled “Where’s Fergus?!?”

“Long live the king!,” the group declared.

Season four of the Traitor premiered on January 9 but lucky viewers got a sneak preview into what was yet to come in an exclusive castle tour video.

“Welcome to my castle,” Alan says to kick off the tour. “There are many ways in, but just two ways out — banishment or murder.

“There will be treachery, double crossing, and backstabbing… and that’s just in the breakfast room.”

Alan then shows off the show’s key locations, including the infamous roundtable.

This year’s line up is filled with star-studded names, from reality stars to TV beauties.
