‘Today’ Craig Melvin Soaks Up Family Time Away From NYC Intruder Stress
Craig Melvin has been away from the Today Show and is soaking up some much-needed family time. This couldn’t have come at a better time, as he was smack dab in the middle of New York City intruder stress. Craig Melvin Is Leaving The Stress Behind
It has been a nightmare several months for Craig Melvin and the Today Show staff. They have dealt with the abduction of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, and wondered what was next. Together, they held each other close in hopes that she would be found, but she is sadly still missing. Then, an intruder broke into the studio, looking for Al Roker. He got to Craig first and shouted racial slurs, alarming everyone on set. Fortunately, he was arrested, but it still shook everyone to their core.

Luckily, Craig and his family had already planned a vacation, and they are enjoying the time away. Along with his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, and their two children, Delano and Sybil, they headed off to Hilton Head, South Carolina. Posing by the water, the kids and Lindsay were in bathing suits while Craig was in swim trunks, a T-shirt, baseball cap, sunglasses, and flip-flops. They all appeared to be having a great time, but Craig and Lindsay seemed very aware of how life can change in the blink of an eye.

Along with the solo family snap, the Today Show host was featured on a boat and with a group of family and friends. It was clear that they were relishing every moment that they had together. Fans and followers wanted them to have the best time, although they clearly already were living their best lives.
A Good Distraction
Although the vacation was pre-planned, it was a great distraction for the Today Show anchor. Craig Melvin had just been through a trauma that many viewers felt warranted some type of therapy. However, just being with his family and away from New York may be just what he needed. Followers gushed over his vacation photos and loved seeing him having a good time:
