Travis Kelce Still Got It? Chiefs TE Turns Heads With Surprising Practice Highlight That Has Over 1.3 Million Views [VIDEO]
Travis Kelce routs Alohi Gilman in one-on-ones.
Travis Kelce doesn’t need top-end speed to make defenders look silly. A new clip from Chiefs training camp proves he can still separate on footwork alone.
Video shared by Mark Poulose shows Kelce working through a one-on-one rep against safety Alohi Gilman.
Kelce moved at a deliberate pace throughout the route. However, he still created clean separation using footwork and a well-timed feint, leaving Gilman grasping at nothing. Poulose captioned the clip, “Travis Kelce ROUTS UP Alohi Gilman in 1-on-1’s.”

Fans Piled On With Jokes About The Rep

Replies to the post filled up quickly with fans reacting to the move.
One person wrote, “Somebody gotta tell Gilman that 87s don’t get tired, they get even.”
Another pointed to Kansas City’s thin depth at the position, writing, “We need help at Safety.”
A third fan joked about their own chances against Kelce, saying, “I know I’m not a football player but I would’ve torn both ACLs trying to defend that.”
Someone else added, “Getting juked in slow motion is crazy.”
One user predicted, “That DB is getting cut, fs.”
The rep arrives at a pointed moment for Kelce, who is entering his 14th NFL season after a rougher 2025 campaign that left some evaluators skeptical.
One NFL scout recently told insider Jason La Canfora that Kelce’s days as a difference-maker are already behind him, a blunt assessment Kelce now has all camp to prove wrong.
Kelce has also fielded plenty of chatter about his conditioning this offseason, most of it tied to viral, AI-generated images exaggerating his frame. Coach Andy Reid has pushed back on that narrative directly. Reid insisted Kelce reported to camp in the same shape he’s always kept himself in despite the online speculation.

Reid has continued to lean on Kelce as one of the Chiefs‘ most reliable veterans throughout camp, even needing to pull him off the field at times because he refuses to take reps off.
That approach fits the tone Kelce has set since camp opened, working through drills alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes and newly signed running back Kenneth Walker III as Kansas City rebuilds after missing the playoffs in 2025.
Kansas City opens its season on Sept. 14 at home against the Denver Broncos.
If Saturday’s rep against Gilman is any indication, Kelce plans to spend the next few weeks making sure nobody questions whether he still belongs on the field.
