Sophie Cunningham has always had a way of turning heads, whether she’s lighting up the scoreboard for the Indiana Fever or simply walking into a room with that unmistakable confidence. She’s the kind of player who commands attention on the court, but it’s her flair off the hardwood that often sets social media abuzz. This week, Facebook users found themselves caught up in a flurry of excitement—though, as it turns out, not everything was as it seemed.

It all started when a public group page dedicated to the Indiana Fever posted a pair of eye-catching photos. In them, a woman is seen on a boat, beaming as she shows off a freshly caught fish, clad in a bright orange bikini that leaves little to the imagination. The caption was simple, almost daring: “SAY YES IF YOU LOVE Sophie Cunningham.” And just like that, the comment section exploded. Fans and followers poured in, clicking like, leaving hearts, and chiming in with their appreciation—many convinced they were admiring their favorite Fever guard enjoying a day out on the water.

But as the post gained traction, a few eagle-eyed fans began to question whether the woman in the photos was actually Sophie. The resemblance was there—the athletic build, the sun-kissed hair, the confident smile—but something was just a bit off. Before long, it became clear that the images weren’t of Cunningham at all, but of another social media personality entirely. The group, knowingly or not, had tricked thousands into believing they were getting a glimpse of Sophie’s off-court life, when in reality, it was just another case of internet sleight of hand.

Still, the buzz around Sophie Cunningham didn’t die down. If anything, it only fueled the fascination with her, both for her undeniable talent on the court and her magnetic presence off it. She’s become more than just a basketball player to Fever fans—she’s a personality, a symbol of charisma and confidence, someone who can light up a room or a timeline with equal ease. Even when she’s not actually in the photo, Sophie finds a way to be the center of attention. And for the Indiana Fever faithful, it seems, that’s more than enough.

The only problem is that the two pictures did not display Cunningham, but they did give traction to a young lady who was in incredible shape.

With Caitlin Clark being out, Cunningham has basically become the second most popular player on the squad, even though she comes off the bench.

She’s no mega star—and isn’t expected to fill Clark’s shoes—but Cunningham has been a key piece in Indiana’s rotation this season.

Cunningham is averaging 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with the Fever since making her debut May 20 against the Atlanta Dream.

“Please, you have more class than Anal Reese, this is degrading!” one confused fan stated.

“Fine as hell,” another confused fan stated.

“Is that really her tho???” a third fan asked of the picture that claimed to be Sophie Cunningham.

“Sophie doesn’t have a body like that!!” a fourth fan figured out.

“Who Posted this propaganda?” a fifth fan asked.

“You’re ruining Sophie Cunningham for me,” one final fan commented.

Why does Angel Reese wear one legging attire?

Angel Reese wears only one legging as a part of her one-court attire and the fans have grown curious about it. Many people speculated that it was part of a superstition that Reese followed, however, that is not the case. The LSU star has herself revealed the reason for the unique dressing choice and it may surprise a lot of people.

I had surgery two years back on my shin. I have a rod in my leg… I cover the scar on one, and then the two players that I admire, Te’a Cooper and A’ja Wilson, also wear it, too. So it is swag. But I have used it to cover my scar,” said Angel Reese. She revealed that she had surgery on her leg and had a scar on it. She wears the leggings to hide that scar and at the same time as a swag fashion accessory.
