FANS of The Pitt suspect drama behind the scenes after Supriya Ganesh unexpectedly dropped out of an HBO event.

It was previously announced that Supriya would be leaving the hit medical show after season 2, but fans now suspect the decision wasn’t mutual.

Supriya, who plays Dr. Samira Mohan, told fans on Friday that she wouldn’t be attending The Pitt’s panel at an entertainment festival.

“Hi everyone – not sure why it’s not removed off the site but I will not be at Paleyfest this Sunday,” the actress posted on her Instagram story.

“I know some of you bought tickets to see me and I hope you know this is not a decision I take lightly. Love you all.”

It was originally announced that showrunner R. Scott Gemmill would be on the panel alongside Supriya and her costars Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Isa Briones, Shawn Hatosy, Sepideh Moafi, and Taylor Dearden.

Isa, Shawn, and Sepideh have all since been removed from the lineup due to other commitments.

Supriya’s abrupt exit comes just a week after it was announced that she wouldn’t be returning to season 3 of The Pitt.

The casting decision was reportedly story-driven because Dr. Mohan is a resident, making it easy for her to be rotated out of the hospital.

Another resident, Dr. Parker Ellis, played by Ayesha Harris, is being promoted to series regular.

But fans think the popular character’s exit from the show was because the actress was fired.

“Supriya Ganesh was clearly fired recently which explains why she was still excited about S3 mere weeks ago,” one fan posted on X.

“AND they cut her scenes in Episode 13-14-15 last minute.”

Fans also alleged that Isa, who plays Dr. Trinity Santos, liked a comment about Supriya being mistreated on set.

Viewers suspect that tension could be brewing behind the scenes between Noah, who plays the main character Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, and the other cast members.

None of the cast came to support Noah when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.

Other than to announce that she would not be attending PaleyFest, Supriya hasn’t addressed her departure from The Pitt.
