Ole Miss Rebels football head coach Lane Kiffin made a young couple’s life-changing moment all the more memorable during halftime of Saturday’s home game against The Citadel.

Lane Kiffin and the No. 6-ranked Rebels had no issue with the visiting Bulldogs, cruising to a 49-0 win to improve to 9-1. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was practically perfect with 29 completions on 33 pass attempts for 333 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

For most high-level sports coaches, there is no time for fun and games. But Kiffin was clearly in a good mood with his team’s performance at halftime, so much so that he crashed a couple’s on-field proposal and even took a picture with them:

Between this and the time he threw a slam dunk on the sidelines during their Sept. 20 blowout win over Tulane, it’s never a dull moment with Lane Kiffin.

Thanks to the expanded postseason format, the Rebels are in an excellent spot to qualify for the 12-team College Football Playoff National Championship.

Ole Miss’ last two games are against the 3-5 Florida Gators and the 5-5 Mississippi State Bulldogs. As long as there’s no stunning upset there, the Rebels will be playing in the 12-team postseason.

Lane Kiffin is in his sixth season as head coach of the Rebels, leading them to victories in the 2020 Outback Bowl, 2023 Peach Bowl and 2024 Gator Bowl games.
