Michael Lombardi’s Rau::nchy Social Media Reshare Gets Exposed After UNC Places Him On Administrative Leave [PHOTO]
A viral social media post involving North Carolina football general manager Michael Lombardi has taken on new significance after the school announced he has been placed on paid administrative leave.
The post appears to show Lombardi’s Instagram profile, with a reshared dating-themed reel from a female influencer.
Her caption references a recent date who refused to perform a certain act with her.
College Sports Only shared a screenshot with the following caption:
“Imagine being the h**niest person on staff when your co-workers are Bill Belichick & Bobby Petrino.”

“My GM (not for long) who uses a typewriter instead of modern technology is reporting AI Onlyfans bait. Shocker,” another fan wrote.
HR Complaint Reportedly Led To Michael Lombardi’s Administrative Leave

The screenshot alone does not establish how or why the reel appeared on Lombardi’s account, and there is no evidence linking it to the university’s decision.
However, the timing has drawn additional attention after The Athletic reported Monday that North Carolina placed Lombardi on paid administrative leave in connection with a human resources complaint. The university declined to provide further details, calling it a personnel matter. Lombardi has also declined to comment.
As of now, neither UNC nor the commission has publicly accused Lombardi of violating any rules.
Lombardi joined North Carolina alongside Bill Belichick before the 2025 season after spending decades as an NFL executive. His reported $1.5 million annual salary made him the highest-paid general manager in college football.
The post in question is still up on his IG as a reshare. You can see it here.
The joke in the viral X post also referenced offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino. That remark alludes to Petrino’s widely publicized personal scandal during his time at Arkansas, while Belichick has remained in headlines because of his relationship with Jordon Hudson.
For now, there is no public evidence connecting the Instagram screenshot, the reported HR complaint or the potential College Sports Commission inquiry. The personnel matter remains ongoing, and North Carolina has said it will not comment further.
