On Saturday, Kiyan Anthony had his first opportunity to be a starter for Syracuse, his father’s alma mater. Anthony repaid the trust of head coach Adrian Autry by scoring 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field as the Orange blew out the Delaware State Hornets 83-43.

After the game, Anthony’s girlfriend Angel Bradley shared his stat line on Instagram. With much pride, Bradley wrote a heartfelt, two-word caption for her story.

“My superstar,” Bradley wrote.

Bradley had much to be proud of, as Anthony was the second-leading scorer on the team. He also contributed three rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Four days prior, the 6-foot-5 freshman had a solid outing as well in his debut for Syracuse. Against Binghamton, Anthony put up 15 points, three rebounds, and three assists off the bench.

The increased scoring production that Anthony displayed in his first career start bodes well for the early goings of his Syracuse stint. After the Saturday matchup against Delaware State, the 18-year-old remained modest when speaking about his contributions to the team.

“Coach decided to put me out there with the first group. I went out there, I provided, and I did what I can,” Anthony said in a post-game interview. “I feel like we had a good game.”
