Teen volleyball star

He should have done his homework.

Brazilian football star Vinicius Junior took some heat online after claims that he liked several photos shared by a teenage volleyball player.

The player in question, Miray Yıldırım, is 16 years old and hails from Turkey. She plays for Beşiktaş.

One of her photos in her team’s uniform went viral online on Tuesday via the Hoops account.

“Who is this?” the account asked.

No chance they knew her age, right?

Thankfully, she was quickly identified as the above following Grok inquiries, while other users replied to the question.

It then came to light that Vinicius Junior had liked several of the teenager’s pics but deleted the likes when Turkish social media users began taking shots at him online.

“Vinícius liked several photos of 16-year-old Turkish volleyball player Miray Yıldırım from Beşiktaş,” Football Factly claimed in a post. “After that, Turkish users flooded the comments, saying: “Idiot, she’s only 16. Are you crazy?!”

“A few days later, the Brazilian removed all his likes from the photos of the girl, who was born in 2009.”

“Ok now i know ‘like’ button is actually a crime to tap,” someone commented.

“Pictures need to be rated for age at this rate. Otherwise, this becomes a grey area for radicals to exploit,” another urged.

One comment read, “yes, true, he’s idiot.”

“Guys please calm down Vinícius Junior has already deleted all the girl’s likes and I apologize to him this time 🥺🥺🥺,” someone noted.

“Following in the steps of Benzema 15,” someone else joked.

A user added, “They said Anthony Edwards did the same thing this is fake.”

The Brazilian attacker was in action for his club, Real Madrid, on Tuesday. He scored twice in a 2-1 UEFA Champions League win over Manchester City.

Los Blancos won the two-legged European tie 5-1 on aggregate, securing passage to the semi-finals
