Caitlin Clark, currently focusing on her rehab, shared heartfelt advice at a Long Island event, urging young basketball players to enjoy every moment of their fast-moving journey.

Caitlin Clark has brought in a revolution in the female basketball realm. Stepping into the WNBA last year, the 23-year-old immediately became a fan favorite. And not only that, with her impeccable skill and brand value, the Indiana Fever transformed the WNBA.

Following her incredible success, the WNBA had a boom in its viewership. With more than 50 million viewership garnered, the league began to witness a boom in its revenue. Thus, considering all the factors, NBA trainer Chris Brickley hailed Clark for her impact on the WNBA.

Since last year, Clark has become the face of the WNBA. And this has led her to become an idol for many aspiring young basketball athletes. And in her recent visit, the former Iowa star had an interesting message for them.

Caitlin Clark Wants The Young Guns To Enjoy Their Game

Everyone expected Clark to take the WNBA by storm this year. Unfortunately, after playing only 13 games, she suffered a groin injury. And while the Fever star did everything to get fit, the lingering injury refused to heal.

With no other option than to sit on the bench, the 23-year-old is currently focusing on her rehabilitation. Meanwhile, as the offseason continues, Clark made an appearance at a luncheon of the Long Island Association back on October 29. While she was addressing the crowd, Clark was asked for advice that she wanted to give to the budding athletes.

“Just enjoy it,” Clark said, per an article from Barbara Barker of Newsday. “It goes so fast. I’m only 23 but I feel I was just in high school. Some of my best memories are from playing sports from when I was in middle school and high school.”

Surely, taking a closer look at Clark’s approach to the game, it looks like she, too, follows the same ideology. That’s why, even after being ruled out for the season, the Fever star kept the same energy throughout. Now then, while the 23-year-old has given so much to the league, Napheesa Collier feels that Clark deserves more from the WNBA.

Napheesa Collier Backs Caitlin Clark Amidst Growing CBA Tensions

Collier has always been pretty much straightforward with her words. While she publicly criticized the league commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, the Lynx star did not regret it. In fact, Collier joked about getting fined for speaking against the authority.

Now, as the CBA tensions have intensified, Collier used Clark’s example to explain the unfortunate fates of the athletes. She emphasized that despite giving so much to the league, the former Iowa star has received almost nothing in return.

The amount of money that Caitlin Clark has made the league is insane, and she’s getting 0% of it because we have no rev share,” Collier said. “She gets less than $80,000 a year, and she’s bringing in, like, hundreds of

millions of dollars. It’s insane.”

It is quite clear that Clark is establishing a significant stronghold in the sporting realm. As she quickly rises to the ranks of the elites, fans now wait to see what the future holds for her next.
