Reports surfaced that Tom Brady believed Gisele Bundchen began her romance with jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente while they were still married. Indeed, multiple sources close to Brady claimed that the timeline of her relationship actually began much earlier than she had publicly admitted.
When reports claimed that Bundchen had been dating Valente only since June 2023, Brady’s camp strongly disputed them. A new report from author Lars Anderson’s upcoming biography details the abrupt end of the famous couple’s marriage. Indeed, the book reveals that Gisele Bundchen delivered a blunt, three-word verdict directly to Tom Brady. According to an insider close to the quarterback, the supermodel flatly stated, “We’re not compatible.”
“One day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible,’” an insider close to Brady told author Lars Anderson in his forthcoming book, “Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness.”
“And just like that, she was done,” Anderson writes in the book.
According to Anderson, Gisele Bundchen allegedly pushed Brady to retire since at least the 2017 Super Bowl, when the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons. When she rushed out on the field, she allegedly said, “Would now be the perfect time to retire?”
Later on that day, she allegedly asked Brady again about retirement, to which he allegedly responded, “Too bad, babe. I’m having too much fun right now.”
In 2018, after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, Gisele wrote a note to Brady. She asked him to spend more time with the family.
“She needed him to be present when he was at home, not responding to text messages on his constantly buzzing cell phone or replaying a game in his mind,” Anderson stated.
“She needed more help with the kids. She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. She needed more time for her own career.”
Brady’s former teammate told Anderson that Gisele Bundchen was “a bigger international star” than the athlete and was “getting tired of living” on his schedule.
Tom Brady played with the Patriots from 2000 to 2019 before signing on with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. He would go on to play for two years, announcing his retirement in February 2022. However, he unretired the following month.
That was the final straw in their marriage.
