Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of Travis Kelce, has posted a few interesting messages on social media ever since the All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs announced that he and Taylor Swift are engaged.
Kelce and Nicole dated from 2017-2022 before calling it quits. Clearly, the three-time Super Bowl champion has found a long-term partner in Swift. The power couple went public with their romance in September 2023, and the rest was history.
Earlier this week, Nicole shared a video of “Black-ish” actress Tracee Ellis Ross talking about the power of joy. Most people assumed that was her response to Kelce getting engaged.
“I think joy is different from happiness. I feel like happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is something that you earn and work for and takes practice,” Ross said in the video. “I feel like joy has legs. I feel like joy has feet. I feel like joy has roots. I feel like joy creates space and allows room for more than just a good day. I think joy is an attitude. I think joy is a perspective and I think joy is a lens through which I live and look at my life.”
That wasn’t the only message Nicole had for her Instagram followers.

On Friday afternoon, Nicole shared a video on her Instagram Story of her working out to the song “Made for This S**t.”
Nicole’s latest gym post included this caption: “The goal? A back that says stop f***ing playing with me.”
The timing of this message has some fans wondering if Nicole is throwing shade at Kelce and Swift. That might be a stretch though.
Who is Kayla Nicole?
Nicole is currently a fitness influencer with over 840,000 Instagram followers. She’s the CEO of Tribe Therepe, which is considered the “ultimate destination for quality workout essentials and expert fitness advice.”
“It’s focusing on the mental health component of working out, which is really, really important for me and really resonates with me, and really just encouraging people to mentally take care of themselves,” Nicole said, via PEOPLE. “I think that when your mind is in a healthy place, your body will follow.”
Prior to taking an interest in “feel good fitness,” Nicole was a earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Pepperdine University.
With the NFL season coming up, there’s a good chance Nicole will have something to say about the Chiefs. For now though, she’s putting in work in the gym.
