He has never been one to ignore it. During this current season, he told a fan to hush as he had a heated exchange with a ref. He also refused to sign a Lakers’ fan jersey following a game against his old team.

Now his wife has become a target of hate, even though it was still directed at him.

His wife, Nina Westbrook, revealed she received a violent email after a bettor lost a parlay connected to Westbrook’s performance on the court. Nina shared the message publicly to highlight what she described as the darker side of modern sports culture and gambling.

The email insulted Westbrook’s performance and escalated into threats toward both of them.

“Your piece of fckn sh-t husband sucks… I hope you both die in a car crash, dumb bit-h.” The fan wasn’t even smart enough to use a fake email, as his name was shared to millions online. Now, he may face the same threats and possibly lose whatever job he has as a result of his actions.

“Anyone that even thinks like this is weird but to go and send an email is somethin else,” one fan said.

“It’s never that serious bro😂,” a second fan wrote.

“Now why would you bet money on westbrick bro? 😭😭,” a third person said of the fan betting on Russell Westbrook.

“didn’t even go from a burner no shame 😂😂,” one final fan added.

She responded on her ig story saying, “The negative effects of sports betting. Brings out the worst in ppl, smh.”

The last game that Russell Westbrook played in was on Thursday against the Orlando Magic. In that game, he scored just 5 points in 17 minutes of action. He was 2 for 8 from the field and one for 6 from 3-point land. This was only the second time since December 21st that he failed to score more than 10 points, per ESPN.
