Daejon Labrayae Love is a 35-year-old man who is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
He, along with his accomplice Taylor Jamie Chan, was charged by federal prosecutors in August 2026 for defrauding at least 26 women out of over $1.3 million.
He accomplished this by orchestrating a highly elaborate multistate romance-and-investment scam while posing as a wealthy San Francisco 49ers player. The story only gets crazier from here.
Step-by-Step Breakdown of the Scam

Initially, Love targeted unsuspecting women on popular dating platforms like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Facebook Dating. By using fake aliases and presenting a fictitious, glamorous life, he quickly convinced these women that they were in committed romantic relationships with him.
Subsequently, he used social media to manufacture a false sense of immense wealth. On his Instagram, he would be wearing official team gear and posing next to luxury sports cars to pretend he was an undrafted wide receiver.
Furthermore, Daejon Labrayae Love introduced his 18-year-old accomplice, Taylor Jamie Chan, into the picture. Chan posed as Love’s professional “financial advisor.” Love and Chan manipulated the victims into investing their own savings. They would also take out heavy personal loans into entirely nonexistent investment funds. To keep the charade going, Love utilized mobile apps to display fake account balances showing massive fabricated financial returns.

Love scammed a lot of money out of a lot of women by pretending he was a 49ers player. Among his actions were going to a beach and actually running routes. While doing so, he could be seen wearing the 49ers helmet. Love even added cones on the beach to further fake that he was a player.
Finally, their scheme came to an end this month. FBI agents arrested both men at the Boise Airport in Idaho. Law enforcement intercepted Love just as he was traveling to meet and manipulate new victims.
It led to formal federal charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
