Dak Prescott allegedly cheated and caused his relationship to fail.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is used to his name trending on social media, but not like this.

Dak and Sarah Jane Ramos called off their wedding just five weeks before it was planned to take place in Italy. Neither Ramos nor Prescott has publicly detailed all the private reasons behind the split. TMZ reported they had a “blowup argument” during their joint bachelor and bachelorette party trip to the Bahamas.

Page Six added that the root of the argument and ensuing breakup was “ongoing infidelity issues” by Dak. First, there was widespread speculation that Ramos refused to sign a prenuptial agreement before the wedding, leading to their split. Ramos would deny that herself.

As a result of the breakup, Dak Prescott has been taking a major hit to his character. Now, two of his good friends are coming to his defense.

Fox Sports broadcasters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson spoke highly of Dak Prescott. It came after responding to a fan question about why the Cowboys QB receives “so much hate.”

During a recent Q&A edition of the “Calm Down” podcast, Andrews and Thompson explained that Prescott is a “fantastic person” both on and off the field.

“Why does Dak get so much hate? Everyone says what a great leader and teammate he is,” one fan asked.

“He is a fantastic person on and off the field; he is a class act,” Thompson said.

“He has been through hell and back in his personal life. He’s lost his brother, he’s lost his mom. He is a constant champion of people in the mental health space, in everything from cancer prevention and early detection. To answer your question … I have no idea [why people hate him].”

Andrews and Thompson did not mention Prescott’s relationship and what recently happened with Sarah Jane Ramos. Both women agreed, “It’s because he plays for the Cowboys,” and the hate is not warranted.

“He plays for a team that people love to hate,” Thompson said. “It’s always going to come with criticism, but I think Dak also understands that.

“It’s just that the people that are gonna hate him don’t have any real reason to. They’re just trying to be contrarians … They’re an easy target because until they win, the narrative around them is that they were good then, but they haven’t been in a long time.

“So I’m just always gonna defend Dak, because I think he’s a wonderful person, and he is. That locker room will say he’s a wonderful teammate.”

Erin Andrews added she’s “basically Dak’s older sister.”

“I’ve been covering him since he took over that job his rookie season [in 2016], I’ve seen Dak go through hell and back. I’ve seen Dak have good times, high times — He’s a guy I get very defensive about because he’s so lovely.

“… Dak is the kind of guy — knows everything he stands for off the field … I did a charity event with St. Jude and there was an anonymous donation on Instagram, but then you could see who did it … He’s such a solid, solid dude. Love him.”

Thompson added, “We are Dak fan club supporters over here … come sit with us and we’ll wave our Dak flag.”

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’

She told how her health scare has changed her outlook and said she has been seeking comfort from Davina.
