Following the massive cliffhanger in Fire Country Season 3, it’s only natural that viewers would want to know what comes next. The good news is that this curiosity will be satisfied when Season 4 returns this fall. Details about the upcoming season are not yet out, but showrunner Tia Napolitano told Deadline that decisions will be made soon. “The writers room starts in a week and a half, so I think we will play with time,” she said, revealing that the team is ready to dive into the story’s next chapter. The showrunner promised viewers would get their answers, saying:”I think the most important thing is, we’ve left huge cliffhangers, so we’re going to satisfy all of those cliffhangers and give everyone the information that they’re craving — we’re certainly never going to skip over any of that. Will we play the time deeper into the episode? Perhaps, we’re still figuring out the most exciting premiere.”Season 4 has a lot of heavy lifting to do, given where many characters were left in the finale. Viewers need to know who, if anyone, survived the massive fires that ravaged the town and the care facility. Audrey (Leven Rambin) was arrested, which could see her return to square one. Jake (Jordan Calloway) was in his final week at Station 42 as he looked ahead in his career. “We definitely want our fans leaning in to the possibility that anybody could leave at any time. He’s ambitious, he’s young, as far as he knows, there’s no promotion for him here at 42, and he gives two weeks. So anything’s possible,” Napolitano said of the future for the station’s captain. There is the Three Rock aspect of it all, and Eve’s (Jules Latimer) potential future with Francine’s (Katie Findlay) revelation that she wants children.
‘Fire Country’s Creative Team Wants You To Tune In for Season 4
Given the two impending cast exits as Stephanie Arcila and Billy Burke leave the show, the show might change significantly. Co-creators Joan Rater and Tony Phelan admitted they still don’t know what Season 4 will look like without a writers’ room, but they will always keep the fans in mind and deliver more of what viewers tune in for. “Our job is to make the fans feel so that they have feelings at all, it’s kind of how it’s supposed to work. And it was a show born on family complications, family grief, how our characters support each other through hard times, through times of change. It’ll still be the show that everybody loves. It’s just only gonna get more interesting,” Napolitano said when asked what she would wish to tell fans.Stay tuned to Collider for more updates about Fire Country Season 4.
