Kate Martin’s former girlfriend has replaced her with another woman.

Kate Martin previously dated Claire Gransee. They went public with their relationship during the 2024 WNBA season. Martin was a rookie with the Las Vegas Aces at the time. Gransee gained a ton of followers when social media noticed how attractive she was.

She regularly updated her media with bikini pictures. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Both have since moved on publicly from the relationship.

While Kate Martin is getting ready for her third season in the WNBA, her former girlfriend has found a new relationship. This time, she has decided to switch sports. Claire Gransee appears to be in a new relationship with NWSL goalie Shelby Hogan.

While Martin has since removed photos with Gransee from social media, Gransee has posted photos of her new love interest. The former University of Iowa athlete shared an intimate photo with Shelby Hogan on her Instagram story.

The Las Vegas Aces did not trade Kate Martin after drafting her, but she was left unprotected by the team. It allowed the Golden State Valkyries to select her in the 2025 WNBA expansion draft on December 6, 2024.

That turned out to be a great move for her career, as she began to receive more playing time. After averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in her rookie season, Martin saw her production increase in year two. She increased her production to 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in the past campaign.

Martin and the Valkyries made the playoffs in 2025, finishing with a 23-21 record to secure the eighth seed. However, they were swept by the Minnesota Lynx in the first round.
