Aaron Rodgers Appears To Take Direct Shot At Danica Patrick With Latest Comment About His Wife
Rodgers’ marriage comments seemed like a shot at Patrick.
Aaron Rodgers packed plenty of headlines into his latest appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ this week.
Rodgers criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, blasted ESPN’s handling of the Dianna Russini controversy, and appeared to take a subtle shot at one of his most famous former partners.
The four-time NFL MVP has made headlines throughout the offseason after marrying a woman only known as Brittani. Rodgers has kept her identity largely private, a sharp contrast to several of his previous high-profile relationships.
However, he did note one of her best qualities while speaking on the show on Monday.
Rodgers joked that his wife never asks for elaborate social media tributes on her birthday or on Valentine’s Day.
“I don’t like doing that s**t,” he said. “And I never have to do that ever again, thankfully.”
Rodgers never mentioned Patrick by name. But the remark stood out because of his history with several public relationships, including Patrick and actress Shailene Woodley.

Patrick has previously spoken publicly about her relationship with Rodgers following their 2020 breakup. Unlike the Steelers quarterback, she didn’t leave anyone guessing.
Patrick described the relationship as “emotionally abusive” and called the breakup the most painful experience of her life.
“Everything was torn to bits,” she said during an appearance on Sage Steele’s podcast (H/T People). “He leaves a trail of blood.”
Rodgers has never publicly responded in detail to those claims.
The veteran QB has been insistent on keeping his marriage out of the public eye. His latest comments reinforced that approach while contrasting it with his previous relationships.
As mentioned above, he spent much of the interview criticizing ESPN. He questioned the network’s coverage of Dr. Fauci’s congressional testimony before pivoting to ESPN’s handling of the recent Dianna Russini controversy.
