However, JoJo was committed to being herself and did not give up on her beliefs, even having a same sex partner when she appeared on Dancing With the Stars. Eventually, fans became as comfortable with JoJo as she was with her evolution, and her success was amplified.

In 2024, JoJo headed to Celebrity Big Brother UK, and that was where she met Chris Hughes. They formed an immediate bond, she broke up with her partner, Kath Ebbs, and ended up with Chris. The two have been inseparable, and it even appeared that they are headed for marriage. Unfortunately, JoJo seems to be extremely brokenhearted, as she shared a sad snap on social media. Wearing a red hoodie, tears in her eyes, JoJo wrote:
