Enes Kanter Freedom Reveals 2-Word Text Message He Received From Sophie Cunningham After Getting Booted From Chicago Sky Game
The current fiasco Enes Kanter Freedom is embroiled in has drawn two opposing sides: those who support him and those who vehemently oppose him. But despite his detractors, he has seemingly found an ally in Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham.
Apparently, it’s often seemingly implied that Kanter and Cunningham are friends.
After Kanter’s unceremonious exit during a Sky-Fever game in Chicago, the former Turkish-born big man has revealed that he and Cunningham might be closer than anybody had anticipated.

As mentioned above, Kanter was thrown out due to his altercation with Sky’s Natasha Cloud. While Sophie Cunningham was nearby, she had not said anything about the heated exchange between Cloud and Kanter.
But according to Kanter, Cunningham actually reached out to him after the incident.
In an appearance on ‘The Big Weekend Show,’ Kanter claimed that the Fever star sent him a message, asking, “What happened?”
He said that he replied with, “I just got up and opened my arms in the air and said, ‘I’m here to protect my friends.”
The now-controversial former 10-year NBA veteran did not provide a screenshot of the conversation. Moreover, he did not reveal any additional information about what he and Cunningham had talked about.
He kept it private, and that’s his right.
Kanter Stands With Cunningham

Sophie Cunningham has received a ton of applause for her previous comments about trans athletes in the WNBA. However, she also received a ton of hate, not just from fans, but from within the league as well.
As for Kanter, he fully stands for what Cunningham has said.
“She’s standing for the truth… I think she’s an idol now and an American hero. I’m just really happy that finally someone from the WNBA got up and said, ‘Enough is enough. We have to stand for American values,” Kanter said about Cunningham.
The WNBA has since released a statement that neither Kanter nor Royce White would be allowed to play in their league. But the damage has been done. Their commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, won’t be back after this season concludes.
