Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is known for going viral for the wrong reasons. This time, he disputed ex-wife Kristin Cavallari’s claim that she didn’t receive any money from their divorce.

The 42-year-old was married to the “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” from 2013 to 2022. They had three children together (a daughter and two sons) before splitting up in 2020 and finalizing their divorce a year later.

Unfortunately, Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari’s divorce has been far from civil, like many divorces involving a highly publicized celebrity couple.

Jay Cutler’s ex-wife recently went public and revealed who she won’t be dating anymore.

Per Shelby Stivale of Us Weekly, Cavallari recently said she had “never gotten a penny from my ex-husband…from our divorce.” Speaking on the “Take it Outside” podcast that he co-hosts with Sam Mackey, however, Cutler fired back at what he called “borderline slander” in a scathing rant:

“Let’s think about this logically. ‘Not a penny,’ OK. Married for, I don’t know, seven years or so, three kids. You can go and see how much I made in the NFL. It’s online. You can see the contract from year to year and the total amount at the end of 12 years. So, you go to divorce and each side gets a lawyer and then you go to court and there’s a judge…

I think it’s reckless. I think it’s borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got. It’s insanity. It’s completely false, completely untrue. It is, it just is. I’ve got a divorce decree. I’ve got something that’s signed by the judge — it’s, like, 67 pages — it says the number breakdown.”

The Cutler-Cavallari beef is reminiscent of what appears to be a public feud between Tom Brady and his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. Last week, it was reported that Bundchen was “furious” with Brady after seemingly subtly calling her out in his newsletter.
