Tom Brady’s dual role as a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and the top commentary man at FOX Sports has come under scrutiny following his appearance in said team’s coaching booth on Monday night.

ESPN delivered a ‘Monday Night Football’ doubleheader this week, with the Raiders playing the Los Angeles Chargers at home in the second game of the night. It was a rough one for Khalil Mack, who exited with a gruesome elbow injury and wore a sling on the sideline for the rest of the game.

Meanwhile, Brady, who’s set to come out of football retirement, was spotted wearing a headset in the booth before ESPN went on to disclose how crucial a role he plays in the offense.

“Chip Kelly told us that he talks to Brady two to three times a week. They go through film, they go through the game plan, and Brady is a luxury for the coaches. Who else has an owner who’s actually been there and done that,” ESPN sideline reporter Peter Schrager said.

The NFL’s X account shared a video of the interaction, captioning it: “@TomBrady and @Raiders OC Chip Kelly work closely together to help with the game plan,” along with a clapping emoji.

It was suspiciously deleted shortly after.

Fans Lash Out At Tom Brady Over Raiders/FOX Involvement

Fans were not happy to see Brady with Raiders coaches on Monday night.

“I want to know the details in the agreement between NFL and Fox where Tom now has the full ability to do his announcing job 100%,” someone commented.

“Just ridiculous that he’s allowed to work for Fox,” another spat.

“Clearly its helping Geno,” someone else joked.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner is unlikely to care. After all, he swore with no regard during a recent FOX interview.

The NFL amended its Tom Brady rules after his first season calling games for FOX, allowing him to attend production meetings with NFL teams. He’s still not permitted to attend practices, however.

Brady has called two games this season – the Eagles-Chiefs game last Sunday and the previous Week 1 fixture between the Commanders and the Giants.

He will be in the announcer’s booth for the Week 3 matchup between the Cowboys and Bears in Chicago. As it happens, the Bears will play the Raiders the following week.
