Comedian and self-proclaimed Kansas City Chiefs superfan Nikki Glaser starred in a viral introductory hype video for NBC’s Sunday Night Football ahead of the matchup between the Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts.
The promotional video leaned heavily into pop culture, highlighting Travis Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, while aggressively calling out critics who rooted for the team’s downfall.

Glaser addressed the national sentiment that turned against Kansas City following their recent dominant multi-year dynasty run. In the video, she noted, “When you’re on top of your game, everybody roots for your downfall… People love a winner—until they win too much.”
Referencing the Chiefs’ missing out on the prior postseason, Glaser proclaimed that “for Chiefs Kingdom, the comeback starts now. You can never count out the Chiefs.”

Taylor Swift’s song “Ready for It?” blasted in the background of the intro. Nikki Glaser, wearing a custom sequined No. 87 jersey that read “Taylor’s Husband” on the back instead of Kelce, declared, “It’s safe to say the world’s greatest singer-songwriter is now a permanent fixture at Arrowhead.”
She jokingly added that she spoke for all “Swifties” in demanding more stadium broadcast cutaways.

Nikki Glaser, appearing on the screens of millions of football fans at home, rubbed a lot of them the wrong way.
Many called out NBC for ignoring the Colts and leaning into the Chiefs’ hype.
“Absolute f–king joke that the Colts were just ignored in any promos,” one fan said.
“I’m glad everyone is calling out NBC for this BS. This is a national broadcast, you can’t just act like the other team doesn’t exist, even though we all know you’re cheering for the Chiefs, just shameless and disgusting,” a second fan asked.
“Absolutely f–king disgrace and big middle finger to actual fans of the damn sport,” a third fan stated.
“Most disgusting glaze introduction ever, you should be ashamed,” a fourth person wrote.
In the meantime, the Chiefs are trying to be 2-0 while the Colts are trying to avoid an 0-2 record.
