Theresa won the first season of The Golden Bachelor with Gerry as the lead, but their romance quickly took a turn when cameras stopped rolling.

While Gerry, 74, has been sharing details about their not-so-blissful relationship in recent interviews and his new memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned From Love, Loss, and Reality TV, which was released on November 4, Theresa has also revealed some horror stories.

The New Jersey native appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the Dear Shandy Podcast, where she revealed a terrifying comment that Gerry made during their short-lived marriage.

“I finally went to [Gerry’s] house, and we took a walk around this lake called Pretty Lake, and we were coming to the end of it, and he said – this is really bizarre – he said, ‘You see that shed out there?’ I said, ‘Yeah,’ he said, ‘Well, that’s where I’m going to hide your body after I k%ll

The reality star laughed about the strange remark but admitted that Gerry’s stone face was off-putting.

“He wasn’t laughing. I said, ‘If this is his idea of a joke, that was pretty dark humor,’” Theresa added. “I just felt like there was animosity in that statement, underlying if he could’ve gotten rid of me somehow. I don’t think he would have, no, I don’t think that was true.”

BOMBSHELL MEMOIR

Theresa had primarily stayed hush about the reasons behind her and Gerry’s split, that is, until his surprising claims in his memoir.

Gerry repeatedly slammed Theresa in his book, claiming that their relationship lacked intimacy and that the 72-year-old had only joined the show to win, not to find love.

He also said that Theresa dragged her feet in signing the prenup, waiting until just before their wedding day to do so.

Gerry further questioned Theresa’s feelings for him while watching the show, as she was seen arguing with fellow competitor Kathy Swarts, apparently over Theresa bragging about getting dates with him

“Later, when I saw the argument for myself, I thought, ‘I damn well could have said ‘Zip it’ myself!” Gerry wrote.

Before these bombshell claims, Gerry and Theresa told fans that they decided to part ways because they struggled to compromise on where they would live.

Theresa lived in New Jersey while Gerry resides in Indiana.

Gerry also said that his sudden diagnosis of incurable bone marrow cancer in March 2024 also played a factor.

The former Golden Bachelor has now met the woman he called his “perfect match,” with his new love interest, schoolteacher Lana Sutton.

Gerry announced their engagement earlier this year, shortly after going public with their relationship.
