The Los Angeles Lakers are playing for their season on Wednesday evening.
The Lakers are trailing the Timberwolves, 3-1, heading into Game 5 on Wednesday night. Los Angeles seemed to be in decent position to grab a win in Game 4 and tie up the series before heading home, but J.J. Redick’s team couldn’t get it done, despite the head coach playing only five players in the second half.
Wednesday night, LeBron James, Luka Doncic and the Lakers will look to keep their season alive, hoping to send the series back to Minneapolis for Game 6.
“You have to play with a sense of desperation,” Redick said. “You can’t change what’s already happened and you can’t feel sorry for yourself.”
Doncic is in agreement.
“We definitely should treat it like Game 7. We lose and go home. No matter what, we can’t look in the future. So we got to focus on this game and then, from there go on.”
The Lakers will at least be playing at home, in front of their home crowd – and the Laker Girls. The Laker Girls, who are essentially the NBA’s equivalent of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, have a lot of prominent figures.

She has more than 6,000 followers on her Instagram page and that number is sure to go up if the Lakers are to advance deeper into the postseason.
