Kayla Nicole did not shy away from social media like everyone thought she would amid the news that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged.

Nicole kept her focus on her own family on Tuesday, the same evening the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced his engagement to pop star Taylor Swift.

While the 34-year-old NFL star got down on one knee and shared the news with billions of people, Nicole used her Instagram story to celebrate her younger sister, Layla, who had just made a major step in her college basketball career.

Nicole, who has been sporting her body in several barely-there bikinis all summer, blocked out the noise surrounding the engagement of the pop icon and Chiefs star tight end by stating that her sister will be playing basketball at Langston University in Oklahoma.

“My little sister Layla just transferred to Langston University, a HBCU, where she’s suiting up for the women’s basketball team,” Kayla Nicole posted on her Instagram story.

As everyone knows by now, Nicole and Kelce had dated on and off for five years before they finally called it quits in 2022.
