Many outlets have been following the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, after she went missing from her Arizona home. Recently, Megyn Kelly touched on the story. During her story, she highlighted footage from the long-running morning show that featured Nancy.

Megyn Kelly Has Discussed The Disappearance Of Nancy Guthrie A Few Times On Her Show

In early February, Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona. She had last been seen at her home the previous evening.

Since then, Nancy’s daughter, Savannah, has stepped away from her work on Today, as the family had gotten involved in the search. In addition to Savannah, Nancy is also the mother of Annie and Camron.

Fox News alum and podcast host Megyn Kelly has released a few videos discussing the story. Recently, on her SiriusXM show, Kelly touched on an appearance Nancy made on Today around 13 years prior.

The Today clip initially shows Nancy appearing alongside her daughter, Savannah, to teach viewers how to give a bed the perfect hospital corners. At the time, however, it also gave audiences a look inside her bedroom.

As Kelly noted, Savannah previously shared that her mother was likely taken from her bedroom, “in the dark of night.” She continued, “Ok, so what’s interesting about that clip is you can see where she slept every night. And you can see exactly what this abductor must have walked into.”

With the clip being over a decade old, it’s possible she redecorated the room over the ensuing years, changing the setup. However, Kelly felt Nancy wouldn’t “dramatically overhaul” the arrangement, noting that she was a woman in her early 70s at the time. She was 84 years of age at the time of her disappearance.

Kelly continued, “The point is, you can see right into her bedroom, generally the way it was and the way it was set up. And she lives in the same house.”

Over the years, Nancy has made various appearances on Today. In a video shared in 2025, she could be seen at a restaurant with her daughter during a segment featuring Savannah’s Arizona homecoming. In another segment shared in 2016, she also shared a fried chicken recipe alongside her daughter on the show.

According to Us Weekly, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared his belief that Nancy was likely abducted at some point after she fell asleep. He shared, “This is an 84-year-old lady who is safe in her own home asleep, and she is taken. And that should never happen.”
