Female South Carolina Fans Show Off Their Chests As They Complain About Not Being Able To Go Shirtless [VIDEO]
South Carolina fans make a bold game day statement.
South Carolina opened its 2026 campaign with plenty of excitement around Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Gamecocks entered Saturday looking to start the season on the right foot.
They delivered that result in convincing fashion against Kent State. They totally dominated from the opening quarter and eventually secured a 57-0 victory.
The result also came during an unusually hot afternoon in Columbia. According to Kent State, 77,559 fans attended the game, which became the hottest recorded game in Williams-Brice Stadium history.
That heat apparently helped spark a different kind of conversation among some South Carolina fans. A video posted by Girls On GameDay shows women in the stands making a playful statement about one familiar football tradition.
The clip shows one woman raising her arm while wearing sunglasses and smiling toward the camera. Another woman appears in the second image with the same message displayed across the video.
The message is simple. Men regularly remove their shirts during hot college football games, while women generally cannot.
The women appear to joke about that difference by showing off their own chests while the text asks when it will be their turn.

South Carolina’s Home Opener Delivered Plenty Of Heat

The temperature proved to be another factor playing into the game-day atmosphere. Local reporting said temperatures reached 95 degrees at kickoff and approached 100 later. The heat index reportedly reached 110 degrees.
South Carolina still handled business despite the conditions. LaNorris Sellers completed 19 of 23 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns. The Gamecocks also finished with 645 total yards.
The offense spread the production around throughout the afternoon. Donovan Murph caught two touchdown passes, while freshman Jabree Coleman rushed for two scores.
South Carolina also kept Kent State out of the end zone. The defense forced an interception and limited the Golden Flashes to only 179 total yards.
Fans Found Their Own Way To Join The Game Day Spectacle

The unusual heat gave fans another reason to find ways to stay comfortable. South Carolina also provided hydration stations around the stadium as temperatures climbed.
Still, the fans in question appeared more interested in making a statement than escaping the heat. Their video framed the moment as a playful challenge to a familiar college football tradition.
The post does not appear to represent an official dispute over stadium policy. Instead, it presents a tongue-in-cheek argument about why men get to celebrate shirtless while women generally keep their tops on.
Either way, the timing made the clip particularly fitting. South Carolina opened the season with a massive victory on one of the hottest days Williams-Brice Stadium has experienced.
