Former football standout has tragically passed away.
Former ackson State and McNeese State defensive back Levi Wyatt had a lot more life to live. Unfortunately, it was cut short due to a brutal car accident.
Wyatt started his career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2021. He was an accomplished college football defensive back who recently completed his collegiate career with the Jackson State Tigers.
His shocking death has shaken the college football world to its core.
Former College Football Star Levi Wyatt Dead At 23 After Tragic Crash

The former college football defensive back has been confirmed deceased following a late-night vehicle incident in Mississippi.
Authorities responded to the scene where one vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole near North State Street. Tragically, medical responders pronounced the young defender dead right at the scene of the collision. Officials from the university program issued a public statement of mourning shortly afterward.
Currently, capitol police units maintain an active investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Emotional Program Tributes Honor Wyatt

Unsurprisingly, the Jackson State athletic program released an incredibly touching public tribute to remember their fallen brother. Team representatives stated that his bright memory will forever live within the historic halls of Tiger football. Before transferring to the program, Levi Wyatt earned second-team All-Southland Conference honors at McNeese State. He was a highly productive defensive back throughout his collegiate career.
“The bond of this brotherhood does not end when the game clock expires,” Jackson State said in a statement. “Today, we mourn the loss of our brother, Levi Wyatt. His memory will forever live within the halls of Jackson State football and in the hearts of everyone who shared this journey with him.
“We ask the Tiger Nation to join us in lifting his family and loved ones in prayer during this incredibly difficult time. Rest easy, Tiger.”
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College head football coach Jack Wright shared his thoughts on Levi Wyatt’s passing.
“We all miss him, and we love him to death, and it is just really sad that someone like Levi put a lot of energy into college and college football, and it was ended before the world was able to see it,” Wright said.
Wyatt graduated from Jackson State University in December of last year.
