As Justin Hartley is gearing up for a brand-new season of Tracker, he’s busy making big career moves.
The actor has been busy working on season 3 of the hit CBS drama, and it’s slated to return to the small screen on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET. But while fans are waiting for what’s to come from his character Colter Shaw, it looks like he’s doing some other things that will help his career in the long-run.
As revealed by Deadline back in June, Justin’s production company ChangeUp Productions signed a deal with 20th Television to develop and produce brand-new content across broadcast, cable and streaming TV. And if that’s not enough, this news is actually an updated version of the original deal he inked back in 2019—and he’s certainly excited by the prospect of creating more original work.
“Thrilled to continue working with with these fine humans,” the former This Is Us actor wrote on Instagram a few days after the news broke on July 2. “Here we go!!”

Given how ChangeUp Productions is a passion project for Justin, it didn’t take long before some of the celebrities he’s worked with in the past and present gave him words of support.
“Keep the hits coming, Big Dog!!!” Sterling K. Brown (who portrayed Justin’s character Kevin Pearson’s adopted brother Randall on This Is Us) wrote in the comments. “Congrats my brother. 👏👏👏,” Jensen Ackles (who plays Colter’s brother Russell Shaw on Tracker) noted. “C’MON!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉,” Chrissy Metz (who played Justin’s TV sister Kate Pearson on This Is Us) added.
And just like his close friends, Justin’s followers were equally excited to see what else he has in store for them.
“Congrats! So well deserved @justinhartley 👍🏻,” one person replied. “Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Can’t wait to see what comes of this 👏👏,” another applauded. “Wow! Fantastic!! 😍,” a different follower remarked.

As for how this new deal affects Justin’s work, well, this was how Tracker was able to get made for CBS. So while it may not necessarily affect the current show he’s on, it can definitely be an asset as he looks to make other projects for different networks in the future.
